Doesn’t he look handsome, smart, and so grown up!?

It looks as if Isaac will need to wear glasses for a couple of years. We are hoping this will correct his eye problem and he won’t need them later.

Isaac was all smiles during his eye exam. Even while getting drops to dilate his eyes! Ethan leaned over and whispered in my ear, “Mom, Isaac should be this brave at home!” Very true.

After picking the frames I went to the counter to pay for everything. It was quite expensive, but worth every penny to help Isaac’s eyes. Ethan didn’t see it that way…when he heard the total he whispered again, “Mom, Dad’s going to be so mad!” Of course, he wasn’t mad at all.

Checking himself out! Lookin’ good! They even came with an orange (Isaac’s favorite color) case. Isaac calls it his, “glasses suitcase.”

Just like Mommy! I recently got glasses for driving. That’s the only time I wear them. Isaac was excited to get his glasses because they are “just like Mommy’s.”

Ethan struggles with learning new concepts. Once he understands something he will always remember it. This was a good exercise in patience for Warren!

I miss the days of matching Ethan and Isaac. I had a lot of fun and it sure made for some adorable pictures! Now that they are older it just isn’t as cute anymore. Someday they will look at this picture and wonder how a loving mother could do this to them. :) Just thought I would try it one more time…

Actually, they have a couple matching sweaters for winter. Hopefully they will look better than the plaid pants. Maybe that’s why this picture looks a little silly to me.

Ball pits, dark tunnels, slides, swings, being tossed in the air, you name it, Lincoln loves it! His personality shows itself more and more with each day. What a brave, fun baby!

It was easy capturing this sweet smile. What could make a baby happier than having someone push him around the house on a cool horsey that talks and sings?

75 degrees on Nov. 3…not bad!

Spiderman, Mr. Giraffe, and Batman were excited that it was f-i-n-a-l-l-y Halloween!

Lincoln’s first sucker…I still don’t know who gave that to him. I didn’t plan to let him have candy, but I wasn’t going to take it away from him!

Trick-or-treating at Mr. Abney’s house. He kept telling the boys, “hold on” and he would go back in and grab more candy for them. He did this about 6 times!

Believe it or not, this was the first picture I took of all six kids and it turned out great the first time! Amazing!

The boys did not enjoy carving the pumpkins this year. They lost interest within 5 minutes and they certainly didn’t want to get their hands messy. Warren and I sat at the table looking at each other wondering ‘why’ we were doing this again?!

Lincoln thought that sitting on the table was fun. But, he kept trying to eat the pumpkin seeds so he had to get down.

Lincoln’s biggest accomplishment this past month was learning to take steps! He can take about 4 steps before falling. Watching our third child meet such a big milestone is just as exciting as it was with our first and second child. I am often amazed at how quickly they grow and change.

Lincoln has six teeth now. (We carved his pumpkin with six teeth to match him!)

Lincoln hates diaper changes, getting his hands and face washed after eating, and being told ‘no.’

If you ask him to make his “silly face” he knows what that means and he makes the funniest face!

Lincoln LOVES his daddy! He lights up and crawls to Warren when he walks in the door from work. When Daddy tells him ‘no’ it breaks Lincoln’s heart and he just sobs. He doesn’t do that so much when Mommy says “no.”

Lincoln loves to climb our stairs! He is turning into quite the little climber. He has learned how to climb on top of his lego table and from there onto the end table! Time to move the lego table…

Just today he learned how to say, “uh-oh.” It’s the cutest thing! He will purposely drop something onto the floor and say “uh-Oh” It’s his fun new game. I need to get it on video!

Lincoln loved playing the leaves! He kept crushing them in his hands. He would pick up a leaf and hold his hand up to show us.

He had fun exploring all the new textures, smells, and even tastes of Fall.

Dad and Debbie were in Gatlinburg on the same weekend we were in knoxville. We met up with them on Sunday morning and had breakfast together. It was SO GOOD to see them! I wish we would have had more time, but still it was great to have the chance to see them. Lincoln went to both of them and sat with them happily. He didn’t reach for me or anything. We had such a nice little visit.

We went to Tennessee for the weekend since Ethan and Isaac had a four-day weekend.

Isaac loved the hay ride. It was a lot of fun! The tractor pulled us through the woods and up steep, muddy hills. The kids all enjoyed it so much!

The boys have been busy catching Daddy-Long-Legs. They seem to be everywhere outside! This is the first year that Ethan has picked them up. He has always enjoyed hunting for them, but he had Isaac do the dirty work. He is so proud of himself you can see it in his face!

Here they are just 3 months ago!

Ethan’s class went to a farm for their field trip. Warren took a vacation day and stayed home with the two little boys so I could spend the day with Ethan. I enjoyed being with him so much! It was a gorgeous Fall day!

We learned about all kinds of pumpkins. (I say ‘we’ because I didn’t know half the stuff the lady was showing us.) It was pretty interesting.

The kids (and adults) got to choose a pumpkin to take home. This was a difficult decision for Ethan. He looked and looked until it was time to get the group picture. I ended up picking his pumpkin…otherwise he would have been there all day!

Coming out the slide! Ethan’s first time down he went on his back, head-first…it looked painful when he flew out the tunnel landing on the ground. He got up and laughed and raced back up the hill…but he didn’t go backwards again!

Lincoln has been standing by himself for a couple of weeks now. He is getting really good at it and just this week he has tried taking steps! He’s done 2 1/2 so far. We will have a little walker on our hands soon! Where does the time go?

Lincoln LOVES toilet paper rolls. He knows he’s not supposed to play with them. When we catch him he looks sooo guilty! He then tries to be really cute by flashing his silly smile that we always laugh at. We may have our hands full with this little charmer!

The pantry is another favorite thing for Lincoln. He will completely clean off the first two shelves. If something spills, even better, a snack to eat right off the floor!

Here is a mess made by Warren. These are the hardest for me to live with since I can’t clean them or hide them very well. All I asked him to do was fix the TV in our room so we can watch shows in bed… I’m having second thoughts!

Life is interesting having a house full of boys take take care of! Don’t tell them, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Well, I guess I would make them cleaner if I could!

I am a little late on posting Lincoln at 9 months. I’ve been very busy and I also wanted to wait until his check-up so I knew how big he was.

These pictures were taken the day he turned 9 months. He did an awesome job. He was all smiles at first…that quickly turned into all tongue!

Lincoln is 19 lbs 6 oz. Three months ago he was 19 lbs. even. He went from the 75th percentile down to the 25th percentile. There really doesn’t seem to be a reason why he has dropped in the charts. I will take him back in 6 weeks to make sure he gains weight. Too look at him he doesn’t seem that small. It’s nice of him to stay smaller longer :)

Developmentally he is doing more than the average 9 month old. The doctor skipped the 9 month questions and information and went to the 12 month page.

New things from this month:

*He stands without holding onto anything.

*Puts both hands in the air for “so big.”

*He does the “all done” sign when he’s finished eating.

*Sticks his tongue out when you ask where it is.

Wouldn’t you buy a container of Lincoln Logs if it came with whats inside this container?

After Isaac and I had fun with Lincoln in the container we decided to build a small village. Isaac pointed to the buildings he wanted and I did the building. We both had fun. Lincoln was very entertained playing with the container for nearly 20 minutes straight!

Ethan and Isaac both are quite the climbers and swingers! Ethan loves the trapeze bar and rings the best. Isaac still loves to monkey bars the best.

Warren has perfected burgers! They are so delicious and juicy!

He even toasts the buns and assembles them with bacon and mayo. He brings them in and they are ready to eat.  Mmmm…
