My Birthday Boy!
He might be 7, but he’s still little enough for me to hold.
At breakfast we gave Isaac the gift we knew he had been anticipating for two years! A couple years ago Warren told the boys that once they turn 7 years old they could have their very own pocket knife (if it were up to me they would have to be like 15, but this is what I like to call “Daddy’s department”). Ethan has had his for two years and Isaac was thrilled to finally have one too!
Ethan struggles every year with allowing a whole day to be centered around Isaac. This year was no exception.
Isaac played several games of checkers with his friends (and Uncle Dan) during his party.

Fun! I love each part of this post. The pocket knife, “Daddy’s department” (we have that too–in our case it was an airsoft pistol which was recalled later by “mommy’s department” because of irresponsible usage!) Ethan’s struggle with letting Isaac have the whole day’s attention, the baby-belly, the checker-a-thon, and the party favors!
Especially love that he’s still small enough to be held by mommy! Enjoy it while it lasts! (BTW, if you start lifting weights now, this phase can last a very long time. haha!)
It’s hard to believe that Isaac can be 7 already! The boys loved going to Isaac’s birthday party. So nice to be able to celebrate with him each year. Nice shot of my belly.
