Soccer Class

I look forward to soccer morning just as much as (perhaps even more than) Lincoln. This is a parent/child class and we have tons of fun together.  He giggles contagiously as I call out “I’m gonna beat you” as we “race” down the field. He loves playing “red light, green light” and “soccer bowling.” Once he’s four his class will be kids and coach only. I hate that my days of parent/child classes are numbered.

So proud of his water-bottle.
Big Kick!
So sweaty, so thirsty!

My Guilty Pleasure

These treats are perfectly sweet & salty and oh, so difficult for me to resist!

Ingredients

  • 48 pretzel rings or mini twists
  • 1 (8 ounce) package milk chocolate kisses
  • 1/4 cup M&M’s

Directions

  1. Place the pretzels on greased baking sheets; place a chocolate kiss in the center of each ring. Bake at 275 degrees F for 2-3 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Remove from the oven. Place an M&M on each, pressing down slightly so chocolate fills the ring. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes or until chocolate is firm. Store at room temperature.
(I use the waffle style pretzels and don’t find it necessary to grease the cookie sheet.)
Aren’t they pretty?

Run, Jump, & Play

The boys were home from school for Presidents Day and since it was cold and rainy we went to jump, fight, and slide on giant inflatables, swing and climb on the play-sets, and miniature golf glow-in-the-dark style.

What is “Violets are Blue”

Valentine’s Day!

A heart-themed dinner, of course.
“We love you” gifts for the little valentines’.
Ethan and Isaac each received a small Lego set and Lincoln got froggy rain boots, which he LOVES!
My heart is in his hands 🙂
My favorite Valentine!
Nothing says “I love you” like an episode of Jeopardy. Seriously, to Ethan and Isaac Valentine’s Day was much anticipated this year only because Jeopardy kicked off the IBM Challenge episodes. We gathered around the TV at 7:30 PM and watched as Watson, Ken, and Brad battled it out. Haha! I know this isn’t the “norm”, but I love my family just the way it is!

The flame of fame continues

We have made the top-loyal costumer list for the second year in a row at Qdoba. Once again, our family was invited to eat for free and I received this t-shirt (which is way too big). We even moved up a couple spots on the top 25 list. It remains our Sunday lunch tradition.
