Cul-De-Sac Christmas Party
Our annual progressive dinner with the cul-de-sac was a great success! Everyone was feeling the Christmas spirit after a cold, snowy day.

It’s party time!

My contribution to the dinner. I love when I get dessert duty!

Some of the girls chatting and the first house – the main course.

The guys hanging out.

Lincoln and his cul-de-sac besties!

The kids enjoyed delicious hot cocoa while writing letters to Santa for the Macy’s make-a-wish foundation.

Both Ethan and Isaac asked for a Wii. Santa won’t be delivering that, I have a feeling. :)

Such a silly bunch!

The last house of the night was where the gift exchange took place.

Isaac loved his art box! He uses it every day.

Here is some of the crew acting a little less silly. In the cul-de-sac there are 14 kids and two on the way. It’s funny to think that when we built our house there were no kids around until Ethan was born. And since then 15 more! Our boys have a blast living here. They always have a playmate outside waiting for them. We have wonderful neighbors!
All the snow we had has virtually gone now. Looks like it’s come to you instead !.
Looks like so much fun! I am drooling over those desserts! What was the main course? Do you draw names for the gift exchange or do you give gifts to your own kids?
B – The main course is lasagna. And we draw names for the kids gift exchange as well as provide a gift for a man and a woman for the adult exchange.
Looks like you all had a blast! How fun for the kids to have so many neighborhood pals. :-)
It’s nice that you get along so well with all your neighbors.
As a side note, I have all the Wimpy Kid diaries in ebook format if Ethan would like them (i think there are 4 in all). Might work on Warren’s Android tablet.
Wonderful neighbors are a treasure! That’s one of tho unknowns when you buy a house! So when you find out that you have good neighbors, it is such a blessing. Actually, it’s pretty unusual for neighbors to get together these days. With the advent of the automatic garage doors and then the backyard deck replacing the front porch, we don’t even see our neighbors. So it is heartwarming to see the pictures showing you all having such a good time.
It just occurred to me that it is probably the children who bring neighbors together. Just another wonderful thing about children!
