Coloring Eggs
Isaac plopped this egg in the blue dye and let it sit a good long time. He wasn’t too interested in coloring any others. He just wanted a really cool blue egg and that’s just what he got.
Ethan colored a couple of eggs but had more fun goofing off with his cousins.
Lincoln woke up from his nap just in time to color an egg… or six. All the kids had finished at this point and he was left with all the dye and left-over eggs. Mommy stepped in when he got a little too “dye-happy.”
I like the really dark colored eggs like Isaac. However, now that I am older, my patience is actually lessened! I like to color the occasional egg at Easter time but mine never seem to achieve that pretty vividness of the eggs that linger in the dye for so long. :-)
I’ll have to have Isaac make mine for me next year!
Were those eggs from Melissa’s chickens? How colorful was Lincoln’s shirt when he was done?
No, they were eggs from the store. And Lincoln’s shirt was surprisingly clean. He was very calm during the coloring process.
I wish Jude were old enough to color eggs. I always loved it when I was a kid. Next year.
