Random Pictures from NY

While in New York we always try to visit Pastor and Mrs. Mohl. I called them on Saturday for a spur of the moment lunch. Luckily for us, their plans for the day fell through and they were free! It’s always great to sit down and chat with them. They really are very special to us!

My mom’s bird, Moe. He looks just like my childhood bird, Spike. I took Spike outside one summer day and he flew away. Warren laughs every time he hears that story…so insensitive sometimes! :)

Ethan and his word search with 100 words! He was so excited he could hardly contain himself! He loves word searches. In fact, on the drive to NY he was busy in the backseat working on one when he asked, “How many more hours till we get there?” I told him we still had 4 hours left and his response was, “YES!” He then asked how long it would take an airplane to fly from our house to NY and I told him about an hour. He said, “That’s why I never want to fly.” Even Isaac agreed and said he loves long car rides. Wish I could say the same…

The kids thought it was so funny to stick their fingers in the aquarium for the fish to nibble on.

Little Lincoln running inside to warm up. It was chilly!
Poor Spike! My best friend from college told me that as a little kid she took her beloved cat for a ride around the block holding it as she always did, around the neck. She didn’t find out until she was older that she had killed it (She thought it had gone to sleep from the ride and then ran away the same day.). Isn’t that horrible (and a little bit amusing)?
Haha! I’m sure you were sad at the time about Spike but you’ve got to admit, it’s a little funny now, isn’t it? !
I see green leaves on the trees still…
I love visiting the Mohls when we’re up there.
