A Day at the Aquarium

My friend Amber and I took the kids downtown to the aquarium. My neighbor watched Lincoln for the day to make things a little easier on me. (They don’t allow strollers) It was nice having the older two boys and not being so distracted with all the things babies require. :)

“Watch out, Isaac!”

Me and my boys. Oh, and a lovely shark!
Ethan didn’t seem too impressed with the aquarium at first. He said, “Is it just fish and more fish?” But, once we saw a big sign that read “Dangerous and Deadly,” he perked right up! Each time we saw something new he would ask, “Is this deadly?” or “Could this kill people?” or “Is this poisonous?”

The boys are looking at a giant turtle.

Isaac, Anna, Ethan, and Emma.

Getting so tall!

Fun at the frog exhibit! Ethan chose his frog based on it’s poisonous looking colors, of course!

Pretty jelly fish.

Here is a picture of one-armed Isaac. He is at the shark exhibit and is pretending a shark bit his arm off. He was quite proud of his cleverness.

Watching the sharks. (Well, the girls are watching the sharks and the boys are looking at me)

Ethan is petting a small shark.

Anna and Isaac making sure they have clean hands.

I thought this was a cool picture of Ethan watching the sharks.

We had such a good view of the diver feeding the shark! It was really fun to watch!

The kiddos watching the penguins.
We had such a fun day! I let the boys choose something from the gift shop so they could remember their trip to the aquarium. They both wanted this noisy light-up gun. I had to remind them they were to pick something to help “remember the aquarium.” Isaac said, “Everytime I shoot the gun I will think of the aquarium.” (haha! Nice try!) I talked them out of it. Isaac chose a small container of real shark teeth and Ethan chose a container of plastic sea animals.
Did Ethan really want to know if the fish were Pious? Or did you mean another word? :-)
I also think that picture of Ethan’s reflection is a good one!
Looks like they had fun.
