Another day of fun for the kiddos. Trying to get it all in before school starts!
My friend Amber and I took the kids downtown to the aquarium. My neighbor watched Lincoln for the day to make things a little easier on me. (They don’t allow strollers) It was nice having the older two boys and not being so distracted with all the things babies require. 🙂
“Watch out, Isaac!”
Me and my boys. Oh, and a lovely shark!
Ethan didn’t seem too impressed with the aquarium at first. He said, “Is it just fish and more fish?” But, once we saw a big sign that read “Dangerous and Deadly,” he perked right up! Each time we saw something new he would ask, “Is this deadly?” or “Could this kill people?” or “Is this poisonous?”
The boys are looking at a giant turtle.
Isaac, Anna, Ethan, and Emma.
Getting so tall!
Fun at the frog exhibit! Ethan chose his frog based on it’s poisonous looking colors, of course!
Pretty jelly fish.
Here is a picture of one-armed Isaac. He is at the shark exhibit and is pretending a shark bit his arm off. He was quite proud of his cleverness.
Watching the sharks. (Well, the girls are watching the sharks and the boys are looking at me)
Ethan is petting a small shark.
Anna and Isaac making sure they have clean hands.
I thought this was a cool picture of Ethan watching the sharks.
We had such a good view of the diver feeding the shark! It was really fun to watch!
The kiddos watching the penguins.
We had such a fun day! I let the boys choose something from the gift shop so they could remember their trip to the aquarium. They both wanted this noisy light-up gun. I had to remind them they were to pick something to help “remember the aquarium.” Isaac said, “Everytime I shoot the gun I will think of the aquarium.” (haha! Nice try!) I talked them out of it. Isaac chose a small container of real shark teeth and Ethan chose a container of plastic sea animals.
Two of our sweet boys one Sunday before church.
The retention area behind our house after a heavy morning rain.
Crazy morning hair!
My little “geeks” in training!
Actually, this only held their attention for about 20 minutes and they were done.
My neighbor and I took the kids for a bike ride to UDF for ice-cream. I had Isaac and Lincoln in the trailer. I felt less guilty drinking my milkshake after that workout! Warren and Ethan were at the YMCA.
Rachel and I each took our oldest child for a night of fun at the water park. They had fun together and Ethan loved having my full attention. We went down slides together and raced each other on others. He was so happy! I enjoyed our night very much!
Ethan and Annie in the Pearl (heated pool.)
It’s a lot fun watching them grow up together. I have a picture of Ethan looking at Annie for the very first time. He was 9 months old and Annie was days old.
After a few hours at the water park we took the kids out for dinner and enjoyed hot fudge cakes!
As I tucked Ethan into bed I told him how much I enjoyed our time together and I told him how I would always remember this day. His reply was: “I will always remember the day I got my hamster!” … little stinker!
We enjoyed a nice time at the park with Amber, Emma, and Anna.
The boys posed with the soldier statue.
Late night stories with Grandma.
A favorite pastime.
