Easter Hunt ‘09

This is Lincoln’s first Easter egg hunt! I love how his basket is almost as big as him. Of course, he had no idea what to do. He watched as all the kids ran into the field to collect their prized eggs.

A friend of mine from church invited us to this hunt. Her in-laws put this together each year at their house for all the kids.

We helped Lincoln find an egg. We cheered and praised him as he dropped it into his basket. Ethan and Isaac were able to watch since their age group was still waiting to be called.

There he is with his blue egg :) There was a nice lady who walked by and dropped a couple yellow eggs for Lincoln to “find.” I think she felt bad that he had only one egg, but he was fine with it!

Isaac was in La-La-Land when they called the 4 and 5-year-olds. He didn’t get a good start and then his second egg came open and the candy fell out. He sat there and picked it up one piece at a time while all the other kids swarmed the field collecting all the eggs. He only got about 4 eggs so he was able to hunt again in Ethan’s age group. He paid attention that time around and didn’t waste any time!

Ethan waiting patiently.

I basket to be proud of! He was all smiles.

Ethan was quite please as well. They had a great time dumping each egg and collecting the goodies. Isaac was most excited about the candy and Ethan was most excited about the money.

The three boys together after the egg hunt was over. This picture really shows how small Isaac is. He looks closer in age to Lincoln, I think. But, there are less than 2 years between Isaac and Ethan and 3 3/4 years between him and Lincoln.

Comments

He is tiny (Isaac) but boys grow in spurts so much that who Knows? He may end up in six months having grown several inches!

Looks like a fun day. I see quite a few cars behind them. Must be a big undertaking to put that hunt together! Nice that they do it!

I’ll probably see you today before you read this comment!

It wouldn’t hurt isaac to eat. Ethan eats at least twice what isaac eats.

I bet we see the comment before we see you :)
