“Grandma” according to Isaac
I asked Isaac to tell me what a ‘grandma’ is, here’s his answer:
“Someone who is old…someone who knows us…someone who lives far away…someone who is nice.”

A cozy chair, a baby video, and a cute girl to cuddle with…Lincoln was one happy kiddo!

His shirt says it all.

Taking a rest.

Haha! Love this face!
What a fun age! Each day brings a new discovery. I never tire of watching him grow and learn new things. I look forward to tomorrows little surprises from Lincoln. At the same time, I wish he wasn’t growing so fast!
Some things I love about Lincoln:
When we walk into his room after he wakes up, he immediately says, “downstairs.” He says is pretty clearly and we know just what it means.
He has a little hand gesture he makes when he sees a kitty or a doggy. He thinks he is calling them over to him. He learned it from me. I make the same gesture to call our cat over to us.
He will answer a question by saying “yes” or shaking his head ‘no’ while saying “mmmm-mmmm.” He usually answers ‘no’ to questions so the boys love to ask him questions like, “Is Mommy in charge of you?” or “Do you love Daddy?” or “Are you a good boy?” Ahhh, the humor of little boys!
I love how excited he gets when I tell him it’s bath time. He lets out this big, excited scream.
He has a new expression he uses when something is funny. He scrunches up his nose and laughs.
When he sees a baby on TV he says “baby” in his own way. And then if I say, “Do you like the baby?” He tilts his head to the side and makes a sound that means ‘love’ to him. If you tell him to ‘love’ something he always puts his head on it while making the same little sound. It’s very cute.
I love watching him play outside. It’s one of his favorite things to do. He is amazed by everything and just takes it all in. The other day he looked straight up into the sky and kept saying something over and over. He was fascinated by it.
This little guys in tons of fun!

The boys were very excited over their little love-filled treat bags! I love their smiles.
We had a nice lunch with heart shaped pizza and cookies!

My littlest Valentine.

My mom sent each one of the boys a valentine’s day card with 3 dollars inside. Ethan and Isaac were dancing around the kitchen waving their money in the air. Lincoln was excited, too, but had no idea why!

Lincoln and Josie are just so stinkin’ cute together! They will be great friends. He gets so excited when I talk about her and he even says “Josie” in his own little way.

Something funny Lincoln? :)

I babysit for a little girl who lives down the street from us. She comes after school for about and hour and a half a couple days a week. Her mom gave this stroller to me. They bought it and never ended up using it. It’s in brand new condition! It’s perfect for my situation with an almost 5-year-old who gets tired on walks still. He can stand or sit and take a rest when he needs to. I LOVE it!

This little boy is so cute, I could just eat him up!

We have been getting together with the Mabrys for a weekly dinner and game night. It’s been a lot of fun and has helped these winter months pass a little faster . We played Cranium once, but now we are on a Pictionary phase. Nathan bought this HUGE white board at Home Depot. We laughed when we saw it, but it’s perfect! We included the kids on a couple of rounds. They, of course, loved it too! Here they are guessing what the Daddys are drawing. Can you figure it out? Oh, I think it’s worth mentioning the Falks are undefeated! ;-)

The highlight of the night…warm chocolate chip cookies!

We took the same color into my office.
I finally feel like it’s finished…what a busy week! It was worth the it, I think.

We have been doing some redecorating. This is our new BOLD kitchen. What do you think? It’s taking a while for me to get used to it. Warren really likes it. It looks great with the living room…pictures of that will come tomorrow. Warren just hung my gallery wall. I love it!
I still plan to get black hardware for the cupboards and some new things for above the cabinets.

Isaac used his imagination on this creation! He didn’t want any help.

Lincoln was watching and wishing he were out there too. I was watching and glad to be in a nice warm house! That was a 12 degree day…

As I mentioned in a previous post, Ethan had the privilege of taking his 1st grade mascot home with him for a week. They are supposed to take pictures of their adventures together and write a sentence or two in the “LC journal.”
I have to say, LC needs to be replaced! This frog is pretty gross. I noticed in the journal entries from kids who had previously shared a week with LC that he had two eyes. When Ethan brought him home from school LC had only one eye. There was a pirate patch over the place where his eye was supposed to be. It turns out that the little boy who had LC before Ethan wrote about how much his dog loved LC! He loved him so much that he played tug-o-war with him and accidentally ripped his eye off! And now we have him…which is why he had a nice Lysol bath.

Swimming at the Y.

LC was very musical…he got right into it.

Breakfast in bed.

This is typical Isaac during the day. He loves to dress up and pretend to be someone very important. Some of the things he comes up with…hilarious!
