Lincoln’s 1st Birthday!

Mommy and the birthday boy.

Lincoln showing off his giraffe shirt.

Mooching “puffs” off of Aunt Kari. You can get whatever you want when it’s your birthday!

Josie Mabry is loving on Lincoln and he’s playing hard to get. These two are adorable together!
Time For Presents!

He was so proud to have a personal gift-opening chair!

Looks like fun!

Ethan is reading the card from Aunt Kari and Uncle Dan. Kari has good taste by the way, I got him the SAME card!

A new blankie! I finally found a blanket on eBay that is exactly like the one Lincoln has become attached to. It will be nice to have a back-up. When I opened the box he “loved” his blankie. He “loves” things by lying his head on it while making a sweet little sound.

This was the gift I looked forward to giving Lincoln for so long. As you can see he loves his new giraffe friend!

This little red wagon that the Mabrys got for Lincoln has become his new favorite toy! It was the first gift he opened and it was hard getting him back to open more once he saw this! The funny thing is, he can squeeze himself into this and we pull him around the house. He loves it!
Time For Cake!

Happy Birthday, dear Lincoln!

He didn’t know what to do with the cake at first! This is what he came up with. Too cute!!!

Gettin’ the hang of it…

One happy birthday boy!
Lincoln’s party was a lot of fun! As much as I could (in between hosting and the chaos of children) I really tried to soak it all in and enjoy watching my baby on his very first birthday! It was such a bitter-sweet day.
I cannot believe how fast this year has gone! I say this a lot, but I wish there was a way to freeze time…
I can’t believe Lincoln is one already. I check out your blog now and then (via Melissa’s blog)…time has gone by so quickly! He is adorable! I loved the cake eating sequence.
What did the rest of you do for cake?!! (Yes! I am alarmed!)
That is one sweet birthday boy. We had one of those wagons and used to pull baby Hannah, Annie and Ivy in it. By the time Ivy came along there was no handle but there is something fun about squeezing a tiny person into something like that, Isn’t there?!
We had two cakes, Melissa! Don’t worry the important things were taken care of.
The extra cake was there on the table…I went back up and checked ’cause I was worried too!
That cake looks so delicious. I think I would have done the same thing as Lincoln ;)
That was very funny how Lincoln just dove straight into the cake. Too cute! The cake was delicious!
