Christmas Morning

Christmas morning started with my shower at 6:00 AM. I wanted to get ready before the eager munchkins came running into our room. At 6:50 I heard Lincoln waking up. When I walked into the room to get my precious baby on his first Christmas I smelled a horrible smell. I soon discovered that he had thrown up sometime during the night. Needless to say he got a bath right away and was not able to wear his matching PJ’s with the boys. Good news, he never seemed sick after that… He was his happy normal little, cute self.
We opened our stockings while it was still dark outside!

Baby’s First Stocking.

This is the shirt Lincoln will be wearing for his 1st birthday!

My first attempt at cinnamon rolls from scratch was a success! It will be our new tradition. Good bye, Pillsbury! :)

Silly!

I gift for me! Isaac was very excited to give this to me. I pretended to think it was a huge book. He laughed and laughed and told me that I was right. Really, it was my new bulletin board to help me get organized. Isaac was really sweet. He was more excited about giving gifts than receiving them! Instead of asking to open his next present, he asked if there were more to give to Mommy.

Ethan’s gift to Isaac. Just right!

My favorite gift! Warren surprised me with a new vacuum cleaner! I love good practical gifts like this. I have been vacuuming so much since Christmas. Just tonight Ethan said, “Are you vacuuming again!?” Hehe.

This was a GREAT Christmas! The boys were a lot of fun! We spent the whole day together playing and having fun.
Now, tell the truth, did you know you were getting that vacuum?! Warren didn’t really pick out a vacuum cleaner, did he? At least you know he didn’t secretly get it for himself!!
Those cinnamon buns look awesome! I am practically drooling!
Hannah threw up on her first Christmas Eve too–course, it was because Steve kept feeding her orange sherbet. she was only three months old. At least it didn’t smell bad! EW! TMI, right?!
I saw a lot of giraffes this year while I was shopping around and I thought of Lincoln every time!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Melissa, Warren totally surprised me with the vacuum! I had no idea. We were not even talking about buying a new one. He knew how much I didn’t like the one I was using, but we hadn’t talked about it together. He even hid it from me until the other gifts were opened. It was very sweet. Oh, and yes, he picked it out himself! It’s awesome…11 pounds!
The cinnamon rolls look like they turned out great! What recipe did you end up using? Is it a keeper?
I used the one on allrecipes called “Clone of a Cinnabon.” It’s a keeper!
Apparently Warren hadn’t seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twivg7GkYts
Of course, I don’t think it applies for you…or does it. Actually, he mentioned that you’ve vacuumed the entire house approximately 6 times since you got the new Dyson.
Nathan, that video is hilarious! Hehe. Warren actually scored points with me when he gave me a vacuum cleaner for Christmas! Like I said, I would rather have a practical gift over jewlery or flowers.
I agree with you, Lynn. Flowers are nice, but it is really good to get a gift that you will use all year. Besides, it’s just good to get a gift that tells you that the giver noticed what you needed. (Good job, Warren!)
Nathan, that video really is funny. Especially the guy who bought his wife a moustache wax!
