The most adorable Lincoln log ever!

Wouldn’t you buy a container of Lincoln Logs if it came with whats inside this container?

After Isaac and I had fun with Lincoln in the container we decided to build a small village. Isaac pointed to the buildings he wanted and I did the building. We both had fun. Lincoln was very entertained playing with the container for nearly 20 minutes straight!

Swing Set Fun

Ethan and Isaac both are quite the climbers and swingers! Ethan loves the trapeze bar and rings the best. Isaac still loves to monkey bars the best.

Ahh…life is good!

Daddy, the grill master!

Warren has perfected burgers! They are so delicious and juicy!

He even toasts the buns and assembles them with bacon and mayo. He brings them in and they are ready to eat.  Mmmm…

Uh-oh, there he goes!

Well, Lincoln has discovered the steps. I went to make the boys breakfast and when I came to check on Lincoln he was on the 8th step! After my heart skipped several beats I grabbed him and got the gate right away. I’m so glad he didn’t fall.

Sorry Lincoln, it’s for your own good.

Level 1 Hurricane Force Winds Hit Our Area

Our swing set almost didn’t make it through the 4 hours of extremely strong winds we had come through our area. The play set shifted about 5 feet from where is was, the slide blew off, and several boards split.

The wind gusts reached over 80 MPH. Several homes in our neighborhood suffered from roof and siding damage. Thankfully our house was fine.

There are nearly 800,000 people in our area without power. Again, thankfully we were spared power-loss. We were watching the news and the reporter said, “If you are watching this you are among the few people who have power.” In fact, the schools were canceled today and atleast through tomorrow. They are expecting 3-5 days before power returns for everyone.

Crazy, crazy!

Hop for your life little toad!

The boys and I found this toad the other night on our walk. We stuck him in the basket of the stroller and brought him home.

All the boys loved him!

Happy Birthday, Hannah

The Eimers came to visit for a night on their way to New York. Between our two families we had 9 kids! The cousins all had so much fun together. It was very hard to get Ethan and Isaac to bed at a decent time for school the next day. It was even harder to get them out the door the next morning while their cousins were still here.

It was Hannah’s 9th birthday so we had a party for her. It was fun decorating with pink for a change!

Melissa enjoying the birthday cake! She was happy that this time when I post birthday cake she can say that she had some. We even ate more cake after putting all the kids to bed!

Hannah got a karaoke set and Vitali had a lot of fun singing. Ivy looked so cute sitting next to him and watching him.

Melissa and Warren singing together. (Not quite as cute as Ivy and Vitali)

Thursday, Chapel Day

Ethan really dislikes dressing up on Thursdays for chapel. I always tell him he looks so handsome, but it doesn’t seem to make him feel better. However, it helped one day when I told him how important he looked.

Labor Day Outreach at Church

Each Labor Day our church has a community celebration. There are pony rides, hot air balloon rides, fire truck rides, games, food, etc. and it’s all free. We had a great time!

Lincoln’s first pony ride…Isaac was a big helper.

Dan and Kari were able to come too!

Owen loved the ducks.

Lincoln wasn’t sure what to think of the animals. He liked them from a distance.

Family Pictures

We went to the park with the Mabry’s and took family pictures for each other. Here is our family…I am really out-numbered! I’m also lucky to be surrounded by so many handsome boys!

The three brothers. Aren’t they cute?

Here are both families together.

8 Months Old

Lincoln at 8 months old:

*Has 4 teeth
*pulls up on everything and anything
*started dancing to music, humming, or singing…so adorable!
*says “Dada” a lot!
*loves the dishwasher, refrigerator, and Mickey (the cat)
*eats lots of table food and does the sign for “all done” when he doesn’t want anymore to eat.
*starting to clap and do “so big”
*Lets go of whatever he is holding onto and tries to stand alone
*His favorite time is bath time or swimming

Lincoln is so happy and so lovable! My favorite time of day is rocking him in his room before bed each night. I know how fast they grow and I just cherish those quiet moments when I can focus completely on him being little.
