Attack of the Cicadas
The boys caught all these cicadas in about 10 minutes.
The cicadas are everywhere around here! Cicadas do not bite or sting and that makes them very appealing to little boys! They also don’t try to fly away when the boys catch them. They are huge bugs with big eyes and they are extremely noisy! The boys and I were in the woods yesterday and we had to shout to one another because of the noise produced by these millions of bugs. It’s almost deafening at times. The boys have great fun catching them and “playing games” with them. My car is covered in “bug guts” from my drive to and from the mall yesterday. As annoying as cicadas can be, I am glad we have them for the boys to enjoy!
I haven’t noticed them here. I wonder if we get them? I would guess we must. They sure do look gross all plopped together in that box!
