Camping?

If you can call sleeping in a tent in the basement “camping”, then that’s what the boys planned to do. But, after we tucked them in Ethan decided he wanted to sleep in his bed because that’s what he’s used to. Isaac followed, of course. Oh well, it will be fun for them to play in.

5 Months!

Lincoln is 5 months old and growing fast! He has mastered rolling over and is learning to sit up.

He sleeps through the night, every night! He sleeps anywhere from 10-12 hours straight without making a sound. Mommy is so happy about this accomplishment. He even falls asleep on his own by sucking his thumb or his first two fingers. His naps aren’t always the greatest during the day, but we will keep working at it.

He has discovered his toes and fingers. He is entertained by them for long periods of time.

He has started this loud screaming thing to get attention. Being the third boy in the house he has to make sure he is heard…it works!

Lincoln is a very content baby for the most part. I really enjoy this age and wish it could go on much longer.

We are loving this little guy!

Lincoln fell asleep on our walk. He is holding a little stuffed monkey that he held onto the whole time we walked.

Something doesn’t seem quite right about this picture!

This was all Isaac’s idea. He put the glasses on his face and the sword in his hand.

Daddy and the big boys exploring in the creek

What a great place for boys! They had the best time exploring. By the end they were both soaked from falling in the creek. But, it just made it that much more fun to them. It was such a pleasant afternoon together as a family.

Daddy’s Big Catch of the Day

Oh, Warren also caught a HUGE tadpole! We brought it home and we hope to keep it alive so the boys can watch it turn into a frog. It’s going to be a huge frog. I will take a picture of it tomorrow.

Even Lincoln put his feet in the water

But, he didn’t like it very much. I think it was way too cold for him.

Kindergarten Graduation

Doesn’t Ethan look so grown up and handsome in this picture?

He has completed Kindergarten and is ready for the first grade. He had such a great year. He grew up so much and learned how to do so many new things. His reading amazes me!

He would have made the whole school year with perfect attendance except for the day I made him stay home and rest after a long night at the emergency room getting stitches near his eye. But, he never missed a day because of sickness. I can only hope to be that fortunate next year.

We are very proud of our graduate!

One last picture with Miss Diana

Miss Diana will be missed! Ethan really loves her and respects her so much. He never once said anything negative about her and always wanted to please her. She loves her students and it shows in her teaching!

Our Newest Nephew

Dan and Kari had their second baby on Thursday. He weighed 9 lbs 9 oz! I was his first visitor and got to hold him when he was only 2 1/2 hours old. He’s so sweet and has the cutest head full of dark hair. I can’t wait to see all the cousins have so much fun growing up together. Between us and Dan and Kari we have 5 boys! Life will be fun!

Cozy

I think I posted before about how Ethan loves to see Lincoln first thing in the morning. He comes to our room and the first question he yawns out is, “Where’s Lincoln?” If he’s lucky Lincoln will be awake ready to play, but most days he is still asleep. This picture was taken one morning when Lincoln was up and ready for his brother, Ethan. I put Lincoln on the floor and went into my bathroom to get ready for the day. When I came out this is what I found. Ethan got some pillows and a blanket and moved Lincoln onto his pillow and covered him up with the blanket. Don’t they look cozy?

Our little Hercules!

At only 4 1/2 months old Lincoln is learning to sit up. He tips over once he looses his balance, but he’s doing so well. I didn’t know he could do it until I decided to sit him up and see what would happen. I don’t really want to keep working with him at it…I want him to stay a baby and stop doing all these big boy things!

I took these pictures of Lincoln when Ethan was in school. Ethan just walked in and saw this picture and said, “Whoa! Lincoln can do that?” The boys get so excited with each new thing Lincoln does. Its really sweet as a mom to sit back and watch them laugh and giggle and be so very proud of their baby brother.

Joy at 5:30AM

I decided to move Lincoln from our bedroom to his own room last night for the first time now that he is consistently sleeping through the night. It was a strange feeling to know he wasn’t right next to me. I made sure the baby monitor was working and I left our bedroom doors open so I could hear any little peep he might make. All was quiet until 5:30 this morning. Warren and I woke up to the sound of our extremely happy baby boy cooing and squealing with delight. We laughed a little and I listened to him for about 10 minutes before I couldn’t take anymore, I had to hold him! I walked into his room and when he saw me his little happy face lit up even more! I brought him into our bed where I fed him and just stared at him. I can’t put into words the overwhelming feelings of love I have for him. I am sure every mother knows just what I am talking about. I will treasure moments like this. Lincoln brought me so much joy today; even if it was only 5:30 AM!

My 3 Sons and me on Mother’s Day

This was a special Mother’s Day for me because I am now the proud Mommy of three boys! We went to the Olive Garden for lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. Our waitress asked me how I got so lucky to be the mom of these 3 boys. I just smiled and thought to myself, “I am so blessed.”
