Ethan was so excited to get these cap guns.

Ethan LOVES sharpies! They have to be the extra fine tip ones. When he fist saw this package he got very excited that there was a light yellow one.

Aren’t they cute!

What a good little server Ethan was! He made sure each student got a blue cookie and a pink cookie. After each of his classmates received the cookies he brought the container back to me. There were 3 left. I told him to go sit in his seat and I served him his two cookies. Miss Diana got the last one. She was supposed to have two, but one fell on the floor. :)

Ethan was a little nervous going to school today because he knew he would have to stand on a chair while his teacher and classmates sang “Happy Birthday” to him. He doesn’t really like to be the center of attention. But, he smiled the whole time and looked at me from time to time to see if I was watching.

Kari and I went to the park with the boys. It was so beautiful outside! I put Lincoln in the baby swing for his first time. The swing swallowed him up, but he looked so adorable in it!

I baked for about 3 hours today. I made these really yummy sugar cookies for Ethan to take to school for his birthday on Wednesday. I got the recipe from allrecipes and it is very good! Ethan wanted pink cookies for the girls and blue for the boys!
I also made banana cookies because my sister LOVES them and she is coming to visit on Thursday. I made snickerdoodle cookies for my Dad because they are his favorite and he’s coming with my sister!
I should have enjoyed the beautiful weather today, it’s 70 and sunny! But, tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer and now I have my baking finished!

We went out for lunch with Dan and Kari on my birthday. Kari had a cake for me so we went to their house after lunch to have cake and ice cream.
Nathan and Rachel are watching all three of our kids tonight so Warren and I can have a date…ALONE! Thanks guys!

Ethan and Isaac love to play soldiers! Ethan has decided this will be the theme for his birthday party on Wednesday.

Isaac’s favorite color is orange. He starts Pre-k in the fall and requested an orange backpack. I had trouble finding one, but finally succeeded.
He is so pleased with his new bag. He took a nap with it the day he got it!

Isaac fully inspected his new backpack. He found every little pocket and tried to think of things he could fill them with.

The look on Lincoln’s face shows how proud of himself he is! He can push up off the floor and hold that head nice and high. (With the help of his tongue, of course!)
He slept for 8 straight hours last night! Woohoo! It was so nice.
Lincoln started this “talking” thing that he does. He will just talk and coo on and on until he eventually gets the hiccups. I don’t remember Ethan or Isaac being so vocal at this age.

Lincoln really seemed to enjoy snuggling up next to Isaac while he “read” him stories.

Isaac and Lincoln spent a good part of this morning bonding with one another. Lincoln looks so big sitting on Isaac’s little lap.
