Too tough for training wheels!

Ethan AND Isaac both learned how to ride their bike with no training wheels this weekend! They are so proud of themselves and we are very proud of them! They have showed all the neighbors over and over again. Isaac asked me if I was, really, really, REALLY, proud of him.He also asked me if I was the proudest mommy ever. I am!
It was neat to watch Isaac’s sheer determination. He just tried over and over again for a couple of hours last night. He didn’t get frustrated much at all. He proved to be very patient, in fact. He didn’t really like to be helped either.
Ethan learned first on Isaac’s bike. He would get frustrated pretty easily and throw the bike down or pout and walk away. We learned it was best to ignore him rather than try to help him. He finally got it and once he did he took right off. He is doing great. Warren took Ethan out for ice cream on the day he learned. What a treat that was! Alone time with just daddy eating ice cream. Warren told Isaac that when he learned he would get to have special time with Daddy, too. We didn’t think it would be just a couple of days later, though! Today Isaac and Daddy got ice cream together.
They are growing up…
Who are growing up; Daddy and Isaac or Ethan and Isaac? *wink, wink*
Congratulations, boys!!!
What an accomplishment! You live in a great area for the boys to ride their bikes, too. We didn’t have that nice sidewalk for our kids. They had to ride on the lawn or in the driveway. But no matter where kids have to ride, ride they will!
