This picture has such a timeless look to it.

I’m sure that’s what Lincoln is thinking!

This picture is precious to me. I am so blessed to be the mommy to these 3 awesome and handsome kids!

and my lovely arm…

Warren and Ethan had a blast sledding down a big hill near our house. Isaac was more interested in going over to his friend, Josiah’s house. Lincoln and I watched Ethan and Daddy from the car. I got out quick to take a pic.

We got A LOT of snow in a 24 hour period! Everything closed down and the roads were horrible. We got around 12-15 inches. Warren and the boys spent a good amount of time outside today. They had a great time. It’s such a process to get them dressed and ready for snow! And then, the clean up once they are finished! I can’t count the times I changed my socks today because I kept stepping in wet, cold puddles on the kitchen floor. I like the outdoor summer playing better…I would much rather tackle a grass stain here and there.
The best part of the day was the hot chocolate and warm home cooked meal. Can’t beat that on a freezing day.

In this picture he was upset because he got snow down his neck. Surprisingly he stayed out for another hour after this picture was taken.

This is what a typical evening looks like in our house. Like the capes? :)

It’s hard to believe Isaac is four years old. He’s been my sweet, thumb-sucking, blankie-carrying, cuddly little boy. But, since Lincoln has been born, Isaac seems so big and grown up. Even physically he’s looking more and more boyish and less babyish. I have to admit I am sad about this. A part of me enjoys watching him mature and learn new things, but I will very much miss him being little!
Isaac is very attached to his blanket and sucks his thumb while holding it. We told him that when he turned four his blanket had to stay in his bed at all times. He then, on his own, decided that when he turned four he would quit sucking his thumb. Warren and I both knew there was now way he would quit cold turkey. We were right! It’s such a habit that I don’t even think he is aware that he’s doing it. And we keep finding blankie downstairs!
Isaac’s favorite color is orange. He picked this shirt out for his pictures. He wants an orange backpack for school next year and an orange coat.
when we are home he usually has some sort of hat on his head along with water guns hanging out of his pockets (no water in them in the house!) One minute he’s a cowboy, the next a police officer, then maybe a pirate or a bad guy. It’s so cute to see what he pieces together for a costume.
Isaac is a pretty easy going child. He tries to please us, especially Mommy.
He’s a very picky eater, but loves V8 and pickles!
Isaac will probably be a comedian when he grows up. He loves to make people laugh. Although his 4-year-old humor gets really annoying at times, it’s good to see he wants to make people around him happy.
He says such funny things. When I got my last haircut I came home and Ethan said, “Mommy, I like your new haircut!” Isaac walked in the kitchen and said, “Mommy, you look just like a grandma!” He thought that was a compliment. He also asked me if I had another baby in my tummy…I am working on my post baby belly, Isaac!
He always picks chocolate over vanilla…I wonder where he get that from?
He still takes a great nap each afternoon!
He looks up to Ethan and loves little Lincoln.
Warren and I are so blessed to have this little boy in our lives! He is truly a joy.

I got Isaac’s pictures done on the day he turned 4. He was such a ham that day. The girl taking his picture just loved him.
Sorry for the bad quality of the picture. We don’t have a scanner so I took a picture of the picture.

Isaac and Ethan really like this gift. This is from the Mabrys. Ethan was learning about planets and space in school recently. Isaac got interested in it because Ethan was interested in it.

Warren joked that Ethan gets two birthdays a year!

Isaac chose to have a ‘Go Diego Go’ birthday theme. It happened to be on clearance at Party City so it worked out really well! We just had a very small party for him. Our friends, the Mabrys, and our neighbors, Carrie and Stevie came. Unfortunately, Dan, Kari and Owen couldn’t come because they were sick.
