Ice Skating!

Ethan had a “Happy Birthday, Jesus” celebration with his kindergarten class at “The Beach Water Park.” They turn the park into a winter-fest. The kids had a great time. There was a petting zoo, ice-skating rank, rides, cookies and hot chocolate, and a craft time.

Ethan tried ice skating for the first time. Unfortunately, I could not go out and help him. He liked it a little at first, but quickly got discouraged and gave up.

Some of our Christmas cookie creations

My mouth waters looking at this picture. Good thing we have about 60 of these left! :-)

Warren showing his Rudolph cookie.

This was my favorite cookie, but I gave it away on a plate I made up for the neighbors.

Sugar Cookies!

I baked sugar cookies and then we all decorated them together. The boys really enjoy this, especially Isaac. He stuck with me until the very end! Ethan lost interest after about 45 minutes. But, Isaac lasted well over an hour and a half!

A snowy Saturday, what could be better?

We woke up on Saturday morning to just a few flurries. But, then it started snowing very hard. It was the pretty, fluffy, big snowflakes kind of snow. I opened all the blinds, turned on the Christmas tree and mantle lights while Warren made pancakes. It was the perfect winter Saturday morning.
The kids had a blast playing in the snow! Daddy made an “Isaac snowman.”

37 weeks!

My belly is getting scary looking! I didn’t realize I looked that big until I saw the picture! Oh well, won’t be long now, two maybe three weeks.

Santa!

Kari and I went to the mall today so the boys could sit on Santa’s lap. Ethan told Santa that he wanted a calendar for Christmas. Isaac told Santa that he wanted power rangers with a castle. I am not sure anything like that exists!

Sweet Brothers!

I got these matching sweaters and hats last year from Children’s Place. The hats were $3.00 and the sweaters were $7.00. I couldn’t resist!

The boys got a lot of attention at church in these outfits. Ethan said, “Mommy, why does everyone keep saying things about my hat?” I told him because he looked so handsome.

Ho!Ho!Ho! Santa Craft!

The boys and I made these Santa crafts today. I thought they turned out cute so I took a picture and decided to blog them. Ethan wrote, “Merry Christmas” by himself. His hand-writing is really getting good.

Ethan, the collecter.

Ethan has been really interested in collecting pens and markers lately. He especially loves the permanent ones that we prefer him not to have, of course. He puts them all in this cup and pretends to be a teacher. He includes other items sometimes, such as, candy canes and scissors. He says his teacher, Miss Dianna, has a mug full of pens too. That’s where he got the idea. All of my pens are missing, but I know where to find them…

Owen turns one!

We went to Owen’s birthday party on Friday evening. This is Owen opening the gift we gave him. Isaac looks so proud of it!

I have more pictures from this, but I don’t want to post them before Dan and Kari.

Ethan’s Shiner!

His eye looks different everyday when he wakes up. The bruise has really taken over his eye. Poor thing! Tomorrow he gets the stitches out.

Warren told Ethan to tell people, when they ask about it, “This is nothing, you should see the other guy.” :)
