Get Uncle Jar, Isaac!

One evening we went to my Aunt Julies house for a picnic. All the cousins were there having the best time playing outside throwing rocks in the pond, playing in the dirt, chasing the dog around, etc..`But, the highlight was when Uncle Jar let the kids hose him down!

Ice Cream Shack!!!

Our trip to New York would not have been complete without a trip or two to the Ice Cream Shack! They have the best flavors of ice cream there. My favorite is white lightening! My mouth waters just thinking about it. The second day I got Piece of Cake flavor…it was good, but I wished I had ordered White Lightening again…Yummy!

Isaac’s turn

We went miniature golfing right across the street from the house Warren grew up in. It’s still strange to pass it and see it without stopping in. It’s been almost 2 years since his parents moved to Tenn.

Tilt-A-Whirl

After this ride, Isaac was crying. He did not like it much at all. There were two rides he didn’t like. Every other one he loved.

Bumpy roller-caoster

Isaac actually cried during this ride. He was a little short for it and it was a jerky ride. His head kept hitting the back of the seat. He still talks about that ride…

boating

This seemed to be a favorite for the kids. They liked being in control of their boats.

Ethan, Megan, and gracie

This is the ride that I went on with the kids. It’s called “title wave.” It goes up kind of high and then free falls for a couple seconds. I had no idea what to expect when I got on, but the lady in charge of the ride said that it was fine for pregnant women. Well, every time we would free fall we got that funny feeling in our stomachs and the baby got startled each time. It felt like he was doing flips in there. I couldn’t believe how strong his movements were during that ride. It must have been scary for him to feel like there was nothing supporting him…poor guy. I only went on that ride once.

The Dragon!

This ride was Ethan’s and Isaac’s favorite ride at midway. I thought it might be a little scary for Isaac, but he loved it. He had his daddy sitting next to him. He loved when the roller coaster would get really, really slow and then all of a sudden speed down the hill.

Megan, Gracie, Isaac and Ethan

My mom and Grandma came along and brought Megan and Gracie. The four kids had so much fun together. Megan is my niece and Gracie is her half-sister…one year apart.

A fun Day at Midway Park!

We took the boys to Midway to ride rides. It was neat taking them to the same place and to many of the same rides that Warren and I grew up visiting and riding.

A Trip to New York!

Here is a picture of Isaac on Pastor and Mrs. Mohl’s boat out on Chautauqua Lake. The boys really enjoyed the boat ride. It was a beautiful morning to be out on the lake.

Ultrasound

I love this picture of Ethan and Isaac seeing the images of their new sibling on the screen. They lost interest after a few seconds, but we got this picture first!

The results are in

if you’re placing bets, the odds are 9:1 that it is a… BOY!

That’s right. The technician said she was 90% sure it was a boy but that she couldn’t be sure it wasn’t a girl with an umbilical cord.

And that’s about 10% shy of sure enough according to Lynn so she has added “second ultrasound” to her wish list.

Two Days until my ultrasound!

My ultrasound appointment is on Thursday (Aug. 9)  We are going to go as a family to find out the gender of this little one. Warren and I thought the boys would enjoy being there to see the images of the baby on the screen and to learn if they will be having another brother or a new sister.

When I was telling Ethan that the doctor will tell us if it’s a boy baby or a girl baby he said, ” She will have to look at the baby’s hair to know, right Mommy?”  …that’s right Ethan :)

As soon as my appointment is over we will be heading to New York for the weekend.  However, I am sure we will be able to post the “big news” on Thursday!

I have been feeling much better these days. It took until about the  16th week for my morning sickness to lessen. I have more energy now and feel pretty good. The baby is moving more and more. I love those little kicks!
